Mit 1. Oktober 2005 sind die Studienpläne für das Bachelor- und Masterstudium Architektur bzw. das Masterstudium Building Science and Technology in Kraft getreten. Studierende des Diplomstudiums Architektur können durch eine einfache Absichtserklärung in das Bachelor- bzw. Masterstudium übertreten. Neueintritte in das Diplomstudium sind seit den in krafttreten der neuen Studienpläne nicht mehr möglich.

Every year since 1981, hundreds of European students of architecture have gathered each summer to discuss and work with architecture, student to student. These summerschools are organised by EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) and happens in a new place and with a specific theme for each year.

Verksamheten inom och kring arkitektutbildningen är bred och A-huset har mycket att erbjuda sina studenter, anställda, externa uppdragsgivare och besökare. Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö har huvudansvaret för undervisningen på arkitektprogrammet. Det totala antalet studenter har under de senare åren ökat och är i år omkring 300.

The architectural education at the Royal Academy of Technology, KTH, is five years long and is mostly oriented around project studies. The educations first three years are part of the basic program and are the same for all students. In a few years the KTH School of Architecture will follow an international standard and divide the education into a three-year bachelor section and a two-year master section.

La enseñanza de la Arquitectura, como disciplina escolar, está vinculada a la creación de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando de Madrid, que habiendo iniciado sus sesiones preparatorias en 1744 no conoció la aprobación definitiva de sus Estatutos hasta 1757, bajo Fernando VI. La reforma introducida en las enseñanzas artísticas en el reinado de Isabel II (1844), dio lugar a un transitorio "estudio especial de arquitectura" dentro de una nueva Escuela de Nobles Artes (1845), ligada aún a la Academia.

Missie
De afdeling architectuur van de faculteit Bouwkunde van de TU Delft is een maatschappelijk georiënteerde afdeling die onderwijs wil bieden en onderzoek wil doen van een internationaal erkend excellent niveau op het gebied van de architectuur en het architectonisch ontwerpen. Onderwijs, onderzoek en ontwerpen zijn nauw verweven met het perspectief op maatschappelijke toepasbaarheid.

Visie
De afdeling Architectuur ziet zichzelf als een open en zichzelf voortdurend vernieuwende netwerkorganisatie met een wereldwijde reputatie die actief inspeelt op veranderende (inter)nationale maatschappelijke omstandigheden. Zij biedt studenten, docenten en onderzoekers een intellectueel stimulerende studeer- en werkomgeving. De afdeling Architectuur bekleedt een sleutelpositie in de faculteit Bouwkunde. Architectuur, als kunst en leer van het ontwerpen en (doen) uitvoeren van bouwwerken, is een oude wetenschap met een eigen traditie. Theorievorming is gericht op de vraag naar nieuwe samenhangen tussen de vorm, constructie en functie van bouwwerken in hun stedelijke context. Door haar hoogwaardige opleidingen aanbod weet de afdeling een toenemend aantal studenten uit binnen- en buitenland aan te trekken. Leden van haar staf en alumni spelen een actieve rol in maatschappelijke en universitaire netwerken en organisaties.

The Department of Architecture was established in 1969, four years after the establishment of Tampere University of Technology. The first fifteen students commenced their studies in the autumn of 1969. The current number of students is approximately 480.

Oulu Department of Architecture is one of the three university level schools of architecture in Finland.
